Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of modified Sijunzi tang combined with Liuwei Dihuang tang for early diabetic nephropathy(DN). Methods:A total of 102 cases of patients with early DN were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,with 51 cases in each group. The control group was given routine treatment including lowering glucose and maintaining acid- base balance of water electrolyte,and the observation group was additionally treated with modified Sijunzi tang combined with Liuwei Dihuang tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for two months. The levels of blood glucose, kidney function indexes,procalcitonin(PCT),hypersensitive C- reactive protein(hs- CRP) and silent information regulator protein 4(SIRT4) in the two groups were compared. Results:After treatment,the levels of Fasting plasma glucose(FBG),2-hour postprandial blood glucose(P2hBG) and 24- hour urine protein excretion in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the levels of FBG,P2hBG and 24-hour urine protein excretion in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of blood urea nitrogen(BUN), serum creatinine (SCr) and cystatin C(CysC) in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the levels of BUN,SCr and CysC in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of PCT and hs-CRP in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the levels of PCT and hs-CRP in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05);SIRT4 levels in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and SIRT4 level in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of modified Sijunzi tang combined with Liuwei Dihuang tang for early DN can effectively control blood glucose, relieve proteinuria symptoms and improve kidney function in patients.
