Clinical Study on Modified Wenwei Tang Combined with Quadruple Therapy for Helicobacter Pylori Positive Peptic Ulcer with Syndrome of Deficiency- Cold of the Spleen and Stomach
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of modified Wenwei tang combined with quadruple therapy on the treatment of helicobacter pylori(Hp) positive peptic ulcer with syndrome of deficiency- cold of the spleen and stomach. Methods:A total of 90 cases with Hp positive peptic ulcer with syndrome of deficiency-cold of the spleen and stomach were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to random number table method , with 45 cases in each group. The control group was given quadruple therapy;the observation group was additionally treated with modified Wenwei tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for four weeks. The scores of syndrome of deficiency-cold of the spleen and stomach,Hp eradication rate and clinical effect were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate was 95.56% in the observation group, higher than that of 77.78% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, the scores of syndrome of deficiency- cold of the spleen and stomach in both groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). The Hp eradication rate in the observation group was 97.78%,significantly higher than that of 82.22% in the control group, the difference being significant (P<0.05). Conclusion:Modified Wenwei tang combined with quadruple therapy has a significant effect on the treatment of Hp positive peptic ulcer with syndrome of deficiency- cold of the spleen and stomach, which can effectively improve the Chinese medicine syndromes of patients and enhance the Hp eradication rate.
