Abstract： This paper summarizes the experience of LIU Xide treating aphtha with yin deficiency and dampness- heat theory. Professor LIU holds that yin deficiency and dampness- heat syndrome is very common in patients with aphtha. To achieve satisfying results，the treatment focuses on nourishing yin and clearing，with methods of combination of cooling and warming and conducting fire back to its origin.
