Abstract：This paper introduces Prof. SONG Kang's clinical experience in using Chinese herbs to assist and strengthen targeted drugs，namely the chief medicine，to treat lung cancer. Prof. SONG believes that targeted therapy of lung cancer is a method like the way of combating toxin with toxin. Specifically， the targeted drugs being the chief medicine is good medicine for cancer toxin，but also a toxic medicine to harm the human body，mainly the heat toxin. He holds that Chinese herbs assisting and strengthening targeted drugs can work as deputy and assistant medicine，and the treatment should take the clearing method as the principle to remove the dryness- heat nature of targeted drugs and preserve their function of attacking the pathogenic factors. In addition，Prof. SONG also pays attention to the use of channel envoy and channel entry of Chinese herbs to strengthen the effect of targeted drugs. In the aspect of overcoming drug resistance， the method of repeatedly attacking and supplementing is adopted to reduce the phenomenon that patients are weak but cannot receive the supplementing treatment method.
