Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Longqing capsules combined with hormone replacement therapy on postmenopausal female urethral syndrome(FUS). Methods：A retrospective study was conducted in 200 postmenopausal FUS patients， who were divided into the observation group and the control group according to different treatments， with 100 cases in each group. All patients received hormone replacement therapy， and the observation group was additionally treated with Longqing capsules. The treatment course was three months. The level of average urine volume， times of urination within 24 hours， maximum urine flow rate， Chinese medicine syndrome score and adverse reactions in the two groups were observed and compared. Results：The total clinical effective rate was 96.0% in the observation group and 88.0% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Before treatment，there was no significant difference in the level of average urine volume，times of urination within 24 hours and maximum urine flow rate between the two groups(P＞ 0.05). After treatment，the level of average urine volume and maximum urine flow rate in both groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)；and times of urination within 24 hours in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)；and the improvement of above indexes in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P＜0.05). Before treatment，there was significant difference in the syndrome scores between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment，the syndrome scores in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，and the syndrome score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group，differences being significant(P＜0.05). During treatment， the incidence of adverse reactions was 15.0% in the observation group and 14.0% in the control group，there being no significant difference between the two groups(P＞0.05). Conclusion：Longqing capsules combined with hormone replacement therapy has a significant effect on patients with postmenopausal FUS，which can significantly improve the urination and Chinese medicine syndromes without significantly increasing adverse reactions.
