Clinical Study on Modified Danggui Buxue Tang Combined with Ferrous Succinate Tablets for Prevention of Hemorrhagic Anemia After Total Knee Arthroplasty
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of modified Danggui Buxue tang combined with ferrous succinate tablets for hemorrhagic anemia after total knee arthroplasty. Methods:A total of 120 cases of patients undergoing total knee arthroplasty were selected as subjects for prospective study, and were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method, with 60 cases in each group. The control group was simply treated with ferrous succinate tablets, and the observation group was treated with modified Danggui Buxue tang combined with ferrous succinate tablets. The hemoglobin(Hb),blood platelet count(BPC),hematocrit(HCT),and function scores of knee joint and hip joint in the two groups were compared. Results:Before surgery, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the levels of Hb,BPC and HCT between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the levels of Hb and HCT in the two groups were decreased, while the levels of BPC in two group were increased when compared with those before surgery, and the levels of Hb, HCT and BPC in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Before surgery, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the scores of HSS scale of knee joint(HSS) and Harris hip joint function scale(Harris) between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the scores of HSS and Harris in the two groups were increased when compared with those before surgery, and the scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of modified Danggui Buxue tang combined with ferrous succinate tablets for patients with hemorrhagic anemia after total knee arthroplasty has a significant clinical effect, and can improve the indexes of ischemic anemia and promote the recovery of knee joint and hip joint function.
