Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of modified Xuanyu Tongjing tang combined with ibuprofen for adenomyosis dysmenorrhea. Methods：A total of 108 cases of patients with adenomyosis dysmenorrhea were selected and divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method，with 56 and 52 cases in each group respectively. The control group was treated with ibuprofen dispersible tablets，and the treatment group was additionally treated with modified Xuanyu Tongjing tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for three menstrual cycles. The clinical effects in the two groups were compared. Before and after treatment， Chinese medicine syndrome scores and duration of dysmenorrhea in the two groups were compared. Results：The total effective rate was 91.07% in the treatment group，higher than that of 75.00% in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the scores of dysmenorrhea， lower abdominal distending pain and lumbosacral soreness in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)， and the scores of dysmenorrhea， lower abdominal distending pain and lumbosacral soreness in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05)； the duration of dysmenorrhea in the two groups were shortened when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the duration of dysmenorrhea in the treatment group was shorter than that in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion： The therapy of modified Xuanyu Tongjing tang combined with ibuprofen for adenomyosis dysmenorrhea can effectively improve the clinical symptoms and shorten the duration of dysmenorrhea.
