Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of modified Xiaoyao Shukun tang combined with azithromycin for sequelae of pelvic inflammatory disease(SPID). Methods:A total of 84 cases of SPID patients were selected and divided into the observation group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 42 cases in each group. The control group was treated with azithromycin, and the observation group was additionally treated with modified Xiaoyao Shukun tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for one month. The clinical effects in the two groups were compared. Before and after treatment, the changes in diameters of pelvic mass, levels of T cell subsets, levels of inflammatory factors, hematocrit(HCT) and erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR) in the two groups were observed. Results:The total effective rate was 97.62% in the observation group, higher than that of 83.33% in the control group(P< 0.05). After treatment, the diameter of pelvic mass in the observation group was smaller than that in the control group(P< 0.05),and the difference of diamter of pelvic mass before and after treatment in the observation group was bigger than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of CD4 + , interleukin- 6(IL- 6) and natural killer(NK) cells in the two groups in serum were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the levels of CD8 + , tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),HCT and ESR were decreased(P<0.05);the levels of CD4+,IL-6 and NK cells in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05),and levels of CD8+,TNF-α,HCT and ESR were lower(P<0.05). Conclusion: Modified Xiaoyao Shukun tang combined with azithromycin for SPID can improve curative effect, effectively reduce pelvic mass, enhance immunity of the body and regulate levels of inflammatory factors,HCT and ESR.
