Clinical Study on Prescription of Modified Shengtieluo Yin Combined with Aripiprazole for Schizophrenia with Syndrome of Phlegm-Fire Disturbing the Heart
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of the prescription of modified Shengtieluo yin combined with aripiprazole on the treatment of schizophrenia with the syndrome of phlegm-fire disturbing the heart. Methods: A total of 62 schizophrenic patients with the syndrome of phlegm- fire disturbing the heart were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,with 31 cases in each group. The control group was given aripiprazole tablets, and the observation group was additionally given the prescription of modified Shengtieluo yin based on the treatment of the control group. The two groups were treated for three months. The scores of Scale of Social Function in Psychosis Inpatients(SSPI) and Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale(PANSS) and clinical effect were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate was 83.87% in the observation group and 54.84% in the control group,the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment,the scores of daily living ability,initiative, communication and social activity skills of SSPI in both groups were increased when compared those before treatment(P< 0.05), and the above three scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment,the scores of positive symptoms,negative symptoms,general psychopathology and the total PANSS score in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the above scores along with the total score in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of the prescription of modified Shengtieluo yin combined with aripiprazole has a significant effect on the treatment of schizophrenia with the syndrome of phlegm-fire disturbing the heart,which can effectively improve the mental state and clinical symptoms of patients.
