Abstract：This paper introduces the clinical experience of treating chronic eczema with the unique thought of Prof. MEI Guoqiang，a Chinese medicine master. After studying the treatment of cold damage and warm disease and by combining the four diagnostic methods，Prof. MEI put forward to use the idea of "whole integration of cold and warm" to guide the clinical thinking， and to treat the disease by combining five treatments of soothing， dispersing， clearing， transporting and supplementing according to the characteristics of etiology and pathogenesis of chronic eczema，including mix of wind，heat， cold，dampness and stasis，simultaneous occurrence of the cold and heat，and simultaneous occurrence of deficiency and excess. This idea advocates the simultaneous regulation of the cold and warm and emphasizes on removing dampness， treating the internal and external simultaneously and treating the root and the branch. Clinical practice has proved that its therapeutic is significant.
