Abstract：Professor FU Zhiquan believes that the spleen-stomach weakness is the fundamental internal cause of peptic ulcer(PU)，qi-blood disharmony is the pathological key of PU，and dampness-heat accumulation is an important factor of PU. As for clinical syndrome differentiation， the tip and root of the disease as well as qi and blood should be taken into consideration； in clinical treatment， the combination of Chinese medicine and western medicine can bring out the best in each other. Therefore，in the treatment of PU，Professor FU often focuses on strengthening the spleen to improve the repair ability of gastric mucosa，regulates qi to relieve epigastric pain syndrome as an assisting therapy，takes resolving stasis as the key of the treatment to improve gastric mucosal microcirculation，applies the method of clearing and detoxifying to help the eradication of helicobacter pylori.
