Abstract:Abstract:Objective:To observe the nursing effect of indwelling needle combined with herbal application in preventing phlebitis. Methods: A total of 168 patients with superficial vein indwelling needles were included as the research objects. According to the random number method, all patients were divided into 2 groups, the control group and the observation group, with 84 people in both groups. The patients in the control group were given conventional indwelling needles. The observation group was given a self-made Chinese medicinal ointment. Compare the pain level, the incidence of phlebitis and patient satisfaction during the intravenous drip of the two groups of patients. Results:The incidence of pain in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). The incidence of phlebitis in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). The satisfaction degree of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:During the treatment with indwelling needle, herbal application therapy can play an effective role in preventing the occurrence of phlebitis, thus reducing or relieving pain of patients with higher satisfaction, which is easy to be accepted by patients.
