Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of eye three- needle acupuncture for acquired paralytic strabismus. Methods:A total of 114 cases of patients with acquired paralytic strabismus were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,58 and 56 cases in each group respectively. The control group was treated with nerve growth factor, vitamin B1,and vitamin B12;the observation group was additionally treated with eye three-needle acupuncture based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effect and eye symptom scores before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate was 98.21% in the observation group, higher than that of 87.93% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of each eye symptom score between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, eye symptom scores in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:Eye three-needle acupuncture has a significant clinical effect in the treatment of acquired paralytic strabismus, and it can effectively relieve eye symptoms.
