Abstract：Objective：To observe the application effect of nursing based on Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation in patients with gastric cancer undergoing chemotherapy. Methods： A total of 60 cases of patients with gastric cancer were divided into the study group and the control group according to the random number table method，30 cases in each group. Both groups were given mFOLFOX6 chemotherapy scheme； the control group was given routine nursing， and the study group was given targeted Chinese medicine nursing according to different Chinese medicine syndromes and types based on routine nursing. Both groups were nursed for four weeks. The gastrointestinal reactions before and after nursing， physical strength，quality of life and the increment of body mass and nursing satisfaction in the two groups were compared. Results： The increment of body mass as well as the scores of Karnofsky Performance Status Scale and Quality of Life Questionnaire (QLQ- C30) after nursing in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P ＜ 0.05). After nursing ， the gastrointestinal reactions in the study group was fewer than those in the control group(P＜0.05). The nursing satisfaction was 96.67% in the study group，higher than that of 80.00% in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：Nursing based on Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation intervening patients with gastric cancer undergoing chemotherapy can increase their body mass，physical strength，quality of life and nursing satisfaction.
