Abstract:Objectives:To observe the clinical effect of Dachengqi tang on early abdominal distension and constipation in patients after colon cancer operation. Methods: A total of 77 cases of patients after colon cancer radical operation were divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 40 and 37 cases in each group respectively. The control group was given chewing gum for imaginary feeding, and the treatment group was given Dachengqi tang. The clinical effects, symptom relief time and improvement of constipation in the two groups were observed. Results:After treatment, the total effective rate was 92.50% in the treatment group and 70.27% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). The recovery time of bowel sounds, the first exhaust time and the first defecation time in the treatment group were shorter than those in the control group(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the scores of ease of defecation and a sense of incomplete excretion between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, the scores of ease of defecation and a sense of incomplete excretion in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the scores in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Dachengqi tang has a significant curative effect on early abdominal distension and constipation in patients after colon cancer operation, which can effectively promote the recovery of bowel sounds and improve symptoms of abdominal distension and constipation.
