Curative Effect of Jintiange Capsules Combined with Percutaneous Kyphoplasty on Osteoporotic Vertebral Compression Fractures and Its Effect on Bone Mineral Density
Abstract:Objectives:To observe the clinical effect of Jintiange capsules combined with percutaneous kyphoplasty(PKP) for osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures and its effect on bone mineral density. Methods: A total of 78 cases of patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,with 39 cases in each group. After admission,both groups were treated with PKP. After operation, the control group was given routine anti- osteoporosis treatment, and the observation group was additionally treated with Jintiange capsules based on the treatment of the control group. After treatment,the clinical effects in the two groups were observed and compared. Before and after treatment, the Visual Analog Scales(VAS), bone mineral density of lumbar vertebra and femoral neck, osteocalcin and bone- specific alkaline phosphatase in the two groups were compared. Results:After treatment,the clinical effect in the observation group was better than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment,there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of VAS scores, bone mineral density of lumbar vertebra and femoral neck, osteocalcin, and bone- specific alkaline phosphatase between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment,the VAS scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),the bone mineral density of lumbar vertebra and femoral neck,osteocalcin and bone- specific alkaline phosphatase were increased(P<0.05), and the improvement of the above indexes in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: Jintiange capsules combined with PKP for osteoporotic vertebral compression fracturescan help increase bone mineral density,relieve pain and improve bone metabolism.
