Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of acupuncture and tuina combined with flunarizine hydrochloride capsules on the degree of pain relief and cerebral blood perfusion of patients with migraine. Methods:A total of 82 cases of patients with migraine were selected and divided into the study group and the control group according to the random number table method, with 41 cases in each group. The control group was treated with the oral administration of flunarizine hydrochloride capsules, and the study group was additionally treated with acupuncture and tuina based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effects were observed in the two groups. Before and after treatment, the changes in indexes of headache (headache frequency, headache intensity, headache duration and the times of using pain killer),scores of Short-Form Mc Gill Pain Questionnaire(SF- MPQ), scores of Migraine- Specific Quality of Life Questionnaire(MSQ), and mean blood flow velocity in cerebral arteries [intracranial bilateral anterior cerebral artery(ACA),middle cerebral artery(MCA),posterior cerebral artery(PCA), vertebral artery(VA) and base artery(BA)] were compared between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the total effective rate was 92.68% in the study group, higher than that of 73.17% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, headache frequency, headache intensity, headache duration, and the times of using pain killer in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the four indexes of headache in the study group were all lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, scores of MSQ and SF- MPO in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the above two scores above in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, mean blood flow velocity in ACA,MCA,PCA,VA and BA in the two groups was decreased when compared with that before treatment(P< 0.05), and the velocity in the abvoe five arteries in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: For patients with migraine, the therapy of acupuncture and tuina combined with flunarizine hydrochloride capsules can regulate their cerebral blood perfusion, improve the state of brain hyperresponsiveness, and relieve symptoms of migraine.
