Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of silver acupuncture combined with release manipulation on knee osteoarthritis. Methods:A total of 94 patients with knee osteoarthritis were selected as the study object and randomly divided into the study group and the control group,47 cases in each group. The control group received conventional treatment and silver acupuncture, the study group was treated with conventional treatment, silver acupuncture and Chinese medicine release manipulation. The score of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) and Lysholm knee function score were observed before and after treatment, and knee range of motion before treatment, seven days after treatment, 15 days after treatment and 28 days after treatment were evaluated respectively. Results:Compared with those before treatment, the VAS scores in the two groups were decreased(P<0.05),and the Lysholm knee function scores were increased(P<0.05);Compared with that respectively in the control group after treatment, the VAS score was lower in the study group(P<0.05),and Lysholm knee function score was higher(P<0.05). Compared with that before treatment, the range of motion of knee joint in both groups was increased seven days after treatment,15 days after treatment and 28 days after treatment(P<0.05); Compared with that in the control group seven days after treatment , 15 days after treatment and 28 days after treatment, the knee joint range of motion in the study group was larger(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of silver acupuncture combined with release manipulation for knee osteoarthritis can effectively improve the function of knee joint and effectively relieve the pain, which is more effective than silver acupuncture alone.
