Abstract:Objective:To explore the therapeutic advantages and finite element study of a new external fixation protector. Methods: Using the original images of three- dimensional CT scanning of shoulder joint, the three- dimensional finite element models of shoulder joint and clavicle were established by using Mimics19.0, Geomagic Studio2017 and Solid Works2017 through the steps of mask, mesh generation and modification. According to the mechanical action characteristics of new external fixation protector and improved "8" bandage + T-shaped splint in the treatment of clavicular fracture, attribute assignment, constraint boundary and mechanical loading were given. After ANSYS19.0 finite element calculation, the maximum stress and displacement of the two treatment methods were compared. Results:The maximum stresses of the new external fixation protector on the whole shoulder joint and clavicle were 10.156 0 Mpa and 7.775 9 Mpa respectively, which were greater than 4.028 8 Mpa and 3.172 8 Mpa fixed with improved "8" bandage and T-shaped splint. The maximum displacement of clavicle under the new external fixation protector is 0.105 640 mm,which is greater than 0.040 052 mm of the improved "8" bandage + T-shaped splint. Conclusion:The comprehensive force of the new external fixation protector is greater, and the ability of reduction and fixation of fracture end is better than the improved "8" bandage + T-shaped splint.
