Abstract： Objective： To observe the curative effect of micro needle- knife， bloodletting on ear apex combined with enalapril maleate tablets for cervicogenic H- type hypertension of senile patients. Methods： A total of 102 cases of senile patients with cervicogenic H- type hypertension were included and divided into the treatment group and the control group according to the random number table method， 51 cases in each group. Both groups were given oral administration of enalapril maleate tablets，and the treatment group was additionally treated with micro needle- knife and bloodletting on ear apex. There were four-week treatment and six-week follow-up in the two groups. Before and after four-week treatment， changes in blood pressure，homocysteine(Hcy) and quality of life [36-item Short Form Health Survey(SF-36)] were observed in the two groups. Clinical effect and the recurrence rate during six- month follow- up were compared between the two groups. Results： After four- week treatment， the total clinical effective rate was 98.04% in the treatment group， and 84.31% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Values of Hcy in the two groups were decreased to varying degrees when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and Hcy value in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P＜0.05). Scores of bodily pain and role emotional of SF-36 in the control group were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)；scores of physical functioning，role physical，bodily pain，vitality，and role emotional in the treatment group were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)； scores of role physical，vitality，and role emotional in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05). During sixmonth follow-up，the recurrence rate was 16.67% in the treatment group，and 71.43% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.01). Conclusion：The therapy of micro needle-knife，bloodletting on ear apex combined with enalapril maleate tablets has a significant effect in the prevention and treatment of cervicogenic H-type hypertension of senile patients. It can significantly reduce blood pressure and Hcy level，and improve quality of life.
