Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of Paiqi tang combined with manipulative massage on puerpera after cesarean section. Methods：A total of 170 cases of puerpera delivered by cesarean section were selected as the observation objects， and divided into two groups according to random number table method. The control group was treated with manipulative massage，and the observation group was treated with manipulative massage combined with Paiqi tang. After three days of treatment，the recovery time of postoperative intestinal function in the two groups was observed； the occurrence of abdominal distension and complications were compared， and the satisfaction rate of lactation in both groups was observed. Results：The recovery time of bowel sounds，relief time of gastrointestinal discomfort，first farting time and first defecation time in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.05). The incidence of abdominal distension was 22.35% in the observation group and 54.12% in the control group； and both the incidence and degree of abdominal distension in the observation group were lower than those in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.05). The total incidence of postoperative complications was 5.88% in the observation group，lower than that of 41.18% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). The cumulative satisfaction rate of lactation within 120 hours after cesarean section was 95.29% in the observation group，higher than that of 81.18% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of Paiqi tang combined with manipulative massage can promote intestinal peristalsis of puerpera after cesarean section， make them return to normal farting as soon as possible，reduce the incidence of complications such as constipation and incision pain，and improve the satisfaction rate of lactation.
