Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of Shexiang Baoxin pills combined with rosuvastatin on angina pectoris of coronary heart disease in elderly patients. Methods：A total of 120 elderly patients with angina pectoris of coronary heart disease were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to different treatment methods， 60 cases in each group. The control group was treated with rosuvastatin， and the observation group was additionally treated with Shexiang Baoxin pills based on treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for four weeks. The levels of blood lipid， hemorheological indexes and inflammatory cytokines were compared between the two groups before and after treatment，and the clinical effect in the two groups was compared. Results：After treatment，the levels of total cholesterol(TC)，triglyceride(TG)，low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)，whole blood viscosity，plasma viscosity， fibrinogen， interleukin- 6(IL- 6) and hypersensitive C- reactive protein(hs- CRP) in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the levels of high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL- C) were increased(P＜0.05). The levels of TC，TG，LDL-C，whole blood viscosity，plasma viscosity，fibrinogen，IL-6 and hs-CRP in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05)，while the level of HDL-C was higher(P＜0.05). The total effective rate was 93.33% in the observation group， higher than that of 78.33% in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion：The therapy of Shexiang Baoxin pills combined with rosuvastatin can improve the therapeutic effect in treating elderly patients with angina pectoris of coronary heart disease， which can effectively improve the level of blood lipid and hemorheological indexes，and reduce the inflammatory responses.
