Abstract： Objectives： To observe the clinical effect of modified Guizhi Gancao Longgu Muli tang for ventricular premature beats caused by coronary heart disease. Methods：A total of 90 cases of patients with ventricular premature beats caused by coronary heart disease were divided into the control group and the observation group according to their different treatments， with 45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Danshen Chuanxiongqin injection， aspirin enteric- coated tablets and simvastatin tablets， and the observation group was additionally treated with modified Guizhi Gancao Longgu Muli tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were continuously treated for one month. The clinical effects and the incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were compared. Before and after treatment，the total numbers of ventricular premature beats in 24-hour ambulatory electrocardiogram and deceleration capacity of heart rates in the two groups were compared. Results：The total effective rate was 86.7% in the observation group，higher than that of 68.9% in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the total number of ventricular premature beats of 24-hour ambulatory electrocardiogram in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)， and the deceleration capacity of heart rate was increased(P＜0.05)； the total number of ventricular premature beats of 24- hour ambulatory electrocardiogram in the observation group was fewer than that in the control group(P＜0.05)， and the deceleration capacity of heart rate was larger(P＜0.05). The incidence of adverse reactions was 8.9% in the observation group and 15.6% in the control group，there being no significance in the difference(P＞0.05). Conclusion：Modified Guizhi Gancao Longgu Muli tang for ventricular premature beats caused by coronary heart disease has reliable curative effect and can effectively reduce the total number of ventricular premature beats in 24-hour ambulatory electrocardiogram，and enhance the deceleration capacity of heart rate，with high safety.
