Abstract: Objective: To observe the effect of postoperative chemotherapy for lung cancer combined with Xuanbai Chengqi tang on prognosis, quality of life and immune function of patients. Methods: A total of 70 cases of patients undergoing postoperative chemotherapy for lung cancer were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group, 35 cases in each group respectively. The control group was treated with postoperative chemotherapy, and the treatment group was treated with Xuanbai Chengqi tang assisting postoperative chemotherapy. The scores of Quality of Life Questionnare-Core30(QLQ-C30),Karnofsky scores and the levels of T lymphocyte subsets and immunoglobulin in peripheral blood before and after treatment in the two groups were compared. The short- term prognosis and curative effect and the incidences of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results:The treatment remission rate was 88.57% in the treatment group, higher than that of 65.71% in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, QLQ- C30 scores and CD8 + levels in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05), and the karnofsky scores as well as the levels of CD4 + , natural killer cell(NK), immunoglobulin A(IgA), immunoglobulin G(IgG) and immunoglobulin M(IgM) were increased(P<0.05). After treatment,QLQ-C30 scores and CD8+ levels in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),and the karnofsky score as well as the levels of CD4+,NK,IgA,IgG and IgM were higher(P<0.05). There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the incidences of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of postoperative chemotherapy for lung cancer combined with Xuanbai Chengqi tang has an ideal prognosis and curative effect on patients, which can effectively improve the immune function and the quality of life, with few adverse reactions.
