Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Buzhong Yiqi tang combined with seretide for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Methods： A total of 300 cases of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group according to the computer grouping method，with 150 cases in each group. The control group was treated with seretide， and the observation group was additionally treated with Buzhong Yiqi tang based on the treatment of the control group. After treatment，the clinical effect，the disappearance time of symptoms， and the recovery time of white blood cell count in the two groups were compared. Before and after treatment，the changes of partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2)， partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PCO2)， forced expiratory volume in one second/forced vital capacity(FEV1/FVC) and the scores of quality of life and ability of daily living in the two groups were compared. Results： The total effective rate was 96.67% in the observation group，higher than that of 81.33% in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment， the disappearance time of cough and dyspnea as well as the recovery time of white blood cell count in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，PaO2，FEV1/FVC，and the scores of quality of life and ability of daily living in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜ 0.05)，and PCO2 was decreased(P＜0.05). After treatment，PaO2，FEV1/FVC，and the scores of quality of life and ability of daily living in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05)， and PCO2 was lower(P＜0.05). Conclusion： Buzhong Yiqi tang combined with seretide has good therapeutic effects for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease， which can quickly relieve the symptoms of patients， significantly improve the lung function of patients and their quality of life.
