Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Bailing capsules combined with chemotherapy for lung cancer and its effect on tumor markers. Methods：A total of 123 cases of patients with lung cancer were selected and randomly divided into the control group and the treatment group， 62 and 61 cases in each group respectively. The control group was given routine chemotherapy. The treatment group was treated with Bailing capsules and routine chemotherapy. There were four treatment courses，21 days being one course. The clinical effect was compared and analyzed in the two groups. Before and after treatment，the changes in levels of tumor markers neuron specific enolase(NSE)，carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9)， and carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA) ， as well as scores of immune function(immunoglobulin IgA ， IgG， IgM)， quality of life(QOL)，and Karnofsky Functional Status(KPS) were compared and analyzed in the two groups. Results：The benefit rate and objective remission rate were 95.1% and 93.4% in the treatment group respectively， while those in the control group were 85.5% and 75.8% respectively， differences being significant(P＜0.05). Before treatment， there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of levels of NSE， CA19- 9， and CEA between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment， levels of NSE， CA19- 9， and CEA in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the three levels in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). Before treatment，there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of levels of IgA，IgG，and IgM between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment，levels of IgA，IgG，and IgM in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the three levels in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group(P＜ 0.05). Before treatment， there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of scores of QOL and KPS between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment， scores of QOL and KPS in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the two scores in the treatment group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion： The therapy of Bailing capsules combined with chemotherapy for the lung cancer can improve clinical effect，enhance immune function as well as scores of QOL and KPS，and reduce levels of tumor markers.
