Abstract:Objective:To observe the intervention with Chinese medicine characteristic nursing for elderly patients after interventional operation for lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans(LASO). Methods: A total of 134 elderly patients with LASO who had undergone interventional operation were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group by computer,67 cases in each group. The observation group was intervened with Chinese medicine characteristic nursing, and the control group was adopted the routine nursing. The scores of subjective symptoms, vascular function and satisfaction were evaluated in the two groups. Results: Before nursing, there was no significant difference in the comparison of the scores of subjective symptoms such as pain, cold feeling, numbness, intermittent claudication and ulcer between the two groups(P>0.05). After nursing, the symptom scores in the two groups were improved when compared with those before treatment, and those in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Before nursing, there was no significant difference in the comparison of condylar brachial indexes, vessel diameter and indexes of arterial blood flow velocity between the two groups(P>0.05). After nursing, the indexes of vascular function in the two groups were improved, and those in the observation group were all better than those in the control group(P<0.05). The satisfaction in the observation group was 98.51%,higher than that of 70.15% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:The intervention with Chinese medicine characteristic nursing for elderly patients with LASO can improve their subjective symptoms, vascular function, and satisfaction.
