Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Guipi tang combined with cefazolin sodium for infective endocarditis. Methods:A total of 84 cases of patients with infective endocarditis were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method,42 cases in each group. The control group was treated with cefazolin sodium, and the observation group was additionally treated with Guipi tang based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effect in the two groups was compared;blood gas indexes and Chinese medicine syndrome scores before and after treatment were detected. Results: The total effective rate was 97.62% in the observation group, higher than that of 85.71% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of carbon dioxide partial pressure and arterial oxygen partial pressure between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, carbon dioxide partial pressures in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the one in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05);arterial oxygen partial pressures in the two groups were higher than those before treatment, and the one in the observation group was higher than that in the control group(P<0.05). Before treatment, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of Chinese medicine syndrome scores between the two groups(P>0.05). After treatment, Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were lower than those before treatment, and the score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion: The therapy of Guipi tang combined with cefazolin sodium has definite curative effect in treating infective endocarditis, which can effectively alleviate clinical symptoms of patients and improve the blood gas indexes.
