Abstract： Objective： To discuss the effect of hot compress with Fructus Evodiae combined with nursing of auricular acupoint pressing with beans on abdominal distension and gastrointestinal function of patients with diabetes mellites complicated with constipation. Methods：A total of 100 cases of patients with diabetes mellites complicated with constipation were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method，50 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing，and the observation group was given hot compress with Fructus Evodiae combined with nursing of auricular acupoint pressing with beans. Indexes of gastrointestinal function，scores of constipation symptoms， and quality of life were analyzed and compared between the two groups. Results： The occurrence rate of abnormal gastrointestinal function in the observation group was lower than that in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After nursing，scores of constipation symptoms in the two groups were significantly improved when compared with those before nursing. After nursing，scores of the defecation times，defecation frequency， defecation difficulty and stool characteristics in the observation group were lower than those in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After nursing， scores of quality of life in the two groups were significantly improved when compared with those before nursing. After nursing，the physiology，worry，social psychology and satisfaction of the observation group were better than those of the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion： For patients with diabetes mellites complicated with constipation， hot compress with Fructus Evodiae combined with auricular acupoint pressing with beans has a better nursing effect，which can relieve abdominal distention and constipation，improve gastrointestinal function，and enhance quality of life.
