Abstract： Objective： To observe the effect of Chinese medicine nursing on negative emotion and quality of life in patients with hemodialysis nephropathy. Methods： A total of 94 cases of patients with hemodialysis nephropathy were randomly divided into the control group and the experiment group， 47 cases in each group. The control group was given routine nursing，and the experiment group was additionally given Chinese medicine nursing based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were nursed for seven days. The scores of Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)，Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS) and 36- Item Short Form Health Survey(SF- 36) before and after nursing in the two groups were compared. Results：After nursing，the scores of SAS and SDS in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before nursing(P＜0.05)，and the scores in the experiment group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05). After nursing， the scores of vigor，emotional function，mental health，social function，physical pain，mental function，physical function and general health in the two groups were increased when compared with those before nursing(P＜0.05)，and the scores of the above items of quality of life in the experiment group were higher than those in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion： Chinese medicine nursing for patients with hemodialysis nephropathy can effectively relieve their anxiety and depression，and improve their quality of life.
