Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Xingqi Huoxue tang combined with ibuprofen sustained- release capsules for primary dysmenorrhea of qi stagnation and blood stasis type. Methods： A total of 112 cases of patients with primary dysmenorrhea of qi stagnation and blood stasis type were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method， 56 cases in each group. The control group was treated with ibuprofen sustained- release capsules， and the observation group was additionally treated with Xingqi Huoxue tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for three menstrual cycles. The scores of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)， Hamilton Depression Scale(HAMD) and Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA) before and after treatment and the clinical effect in the two groups were compared. Results： The total effective rate was 91.07% in the observation group， higher than that of 60.71% in the control group(P＜0.05). After treatment，the scores of VAS，HAMD and HAMA in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and the decrease of the three scores in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion： Xingqi Huoxue tang combined with ibuprofen sustained-release capsules for patients with primary dysmenorrhea of qi stagnation and blood stasis type can effectively relieve their pain and improve their negative emotions.
