Abstract： This paper introduces the experience of Professor YANG Yi in the treatment of reduction and withdrawal of glucocorticoid caused by pulmonary fibrosis. Based on the analysis of the correlation between the pathogenesis of pulmonary fibrosis at stable stage and the syndrome type at the stage of reducing and removing glucocorticoid， it is considered that pulmonary fibrosis at stable stage belongs to the category of lung atrophy in Chinese medicine，and the basic pathogenesis is lung deficiency and depletion with severe damage of fluid qi cause the withered lung lobe. In the phase of pulmonary fibrosis at stable stage reducing and removing glucocorticoid，the main syndrome is dual deficiency of qi and Yin；the basic principles should be replenishing qi and fortifying the spleen as well as enriching yin and securing the kidney， going throughout the treatment of pulmonary fibrosis.
