Abstract： Objective： To observe the clinical effect of Shenshuai'ning capsules combined with repaglinide tablets for diabetic nephropathy. Methods：A total of 120 cases of patients with diabetic nephropathy were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method，60 cases in each group. The control group was given oral administration of repaglinide tablets based on routine treatment，and the observation group was additionally treated with Shenshuai'ning capsules based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for eight weeks. The clinical effect，blood glucose levels，kidney function and inflammatory factors in the two groups were compared. Results： The total effective rate was 90.0% in the observation group，higher than that of 73.33% in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Before treatment， there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of blood glucose levels between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment， the levels of fasting blood glucose(FBG)， postprandial 2-hour blood glucose(P2hBG) and hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c) in the two groups were lower than those before treatment(P＜0.05)， but there was no significant difference being found between the groups(P＞0.05). Before treatment，there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of the levels of blood urea nitrogen(BUN)，serum cystatin C(CysC)，urinary albumin excretion rate(UAER)， tumor necrosis factor- α(TNF- α)， interleukin-6(IL-6) and interleukin-18(IL-18) between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment， the levels of BUN， CysC， UAER， IL- 6 and IL- 18 in the two groups were lower than those before treatment， and the levels in the observation group were lower than those in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion：Shenshuai'ning capsules combined with repaglinide tablets for diabetic nephropathy has significant curative effect，and can effectively regulate blood glucose levels，relieve inflammatory responses and improve kidney function，with high safety.
