Abstract： Objective： To observe the curative effect of Banxia Houpo tang combined with rabeprazole for reflux esophagiti and its effect on quality of life. Methods： A total of 80 cases of patients with reflux esophagiti were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group， 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with rabeprazole，and the observation group was additionally treated with Banxia Houpo tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for two months. Before and after treatment， the scores in Reflux Disease Questionnaire (RDQ) and grading of esophageal endoscopy were compared， the Short Form- 36 Health Survey(SF- 36) was applied to assess the quality of life of patients， and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index(PSQI) was used to evaluate the sleep quality. Results：After treatment，the scores of RDQ and grading of esophageal endoscopy as well as each score in PSQI in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)，and each score in SF-36 was increased(P＜ 0.05)；the scores of RDQ and grading of esophageal endoscopy as well as each score in PSQI in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P＜0.05)，and each score in SF- 36 was higher(P＜0.05). Conclusion：Banxia Houpo tang combined with rabeprazole for reflux esophagiti can effectively promote the recovery of esophageal mucosal inflammation，and improve the clinical symptoms，quality of life and sleep quality of patients.
