Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical application of acupuncture anesthesia combined with local anesthesia in percutaneous vertebroplasty which patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture underwent. Methods:A total of 110 cases of senile patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture and undergoing percutaneous vertebroplasty were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group,55 cases in each group. The control group was given routine local anesthesia with dezocine and lidocaine, and the observation group was additionally given acupuncture anesthesia based on the surgery of the control group. Scores of systolic pressure(SP), diastolic pressure(DP), heart rate (HR), cortisol(COR), norepinephrine(NE), and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) for evaluating pain were observed in the two groups at the following time points:before acupuncture or anesthesia(T0),during the puncture of the vertebral body(T1),in the course of bone cement perfusion(T2),and at the end of surgery(T3). Levels of alanine aminotransferase(ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase(AST) in serum as well as serum creatinine(SCr) were compared before surgery and after surgery. Results: At T0 and T3, when compared levels of SP, DP, HR and VAS between the two groups, there was no significance being found in the difference(P>0.05). In the two groups, there was significant difference being found in the comparisons of scores of SP,DP,HR,and VAS at T1 and T2 and those at T0(P<0.05),and the four scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). At T0,when compared levels of COR and NE between the two groups, there was no significance being found in the difference(P>0.05). In the two groups, there was significant difference being found in the comparisons of scores of COR and NE at T1, T2, and T3 and those at T0(P<0.05), and the two scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Before surgery, when compared levels of ALT,AST,and SCr between the two groups, there was no significance being found in the difference(P>0.05). After surgery, levels of ALT and AST in the two groups were increased when compared with those before surgery(P<0.05),and levels of SCr were decreased (P<0.05); there was no significance difference in the above indexes between the two groups(P>0.05). Conclusion: For senile patients with osteoporotic vertebral compression fracture, the application of acupuncture anesthesia combined with local anesthesia has a good anesthesia effect during percutaneous vertebroplasty, which can effectively maintain intraoperative blood pressure and stabilize heart rate, slow down the fluctuation of stress index, and relieve intraoperative pain.
