Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Zhigancao tang combined with Xuefu Zhuyu tang on coronary heart disease complicated with diabetes. Methods：A total of 117 patients with coronary heart disease complicated with diabetes were retrospectively selected and divided into the control group(53 cases) and the study group(64 cases) according to different treatment methods. The control group was treated with conventional western medicine，and the study group was additionally treated with Zhigancao tang combined with Xuefu Zhuyu tang based on the treatment of the control group. The clinical effect， level of blood glucose， symptoms of angina pectoris and the heart function were compared between the two groups. Results： The total effective rate was 95.31% in the study group， higher than that of 79.25% in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Before treatment， there was no significant difference in the comparison of levels of angina frequency ， angina duration ， left ventricular end-diastolic volume(LVEDV) ， left ventricular end-systolic volume(LVESV) ， left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) and B- type diuretic natriuretic peptide(BNP) between the two groups(P＞0.05). After treatment， the levels of angina frequency， angina duration， LVEDV， LVESV and BNP in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，while the LVEF levels were increased(P＜0.05)．The levels of angina frequency，angina duration，LVEDV，LVESV and BNP in the observation group were lower than those in the control group， and the LVEF level was higher(P＜0.05)． Before treatment， there was no significant difference in the comparison of the levels of fasting blood glucose(FBG)，total cholesterol(TC)，triglyceride(TG)，low-density lipoprotein(LDL) and high-density lipoprotein(HDL) between the two groups(P＞0.05)．After treatment，the levels of FBG，TC，TG and LDL in both groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment，while the levels of HDL were increased(P＜ 0.05)．The levels of FBG，TC，TG and LDL in the observation group were lower than those in the control group，and the level of HDL was higher(P＜0.05). Conclusion：Modified Zhigancao tang combined with Xuefu Zhuyu tang for patients with coronary heart disease complicated with diabetes， can effectively improve the symptoms of angina pectoris， the heart function，the levels of blood glucose and lipid，as well as clinical effect.
