Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of self- made Yishen tang combined with Cozzar for type 2 diabetic kidney disease(DKD) of kidney yin deficiency type. Methods: A total of 62 cases of patients with type 2 DKD of kidney yin deficiency type were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group,31 cases in each group. The control group was given oral administration of Cozzar(losartan potassium tablets), and the treatment group was additionally treated with Yishen tang based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were continuously treated for eight weeks. Changes in levels of urine albumin to creatinine ratio(ACR),24- hour urine total protein(24 h- UTP),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),serum creatinine(SCr),glycosylated hemoglobin A1c(HbA1c),vascular cell adhesion molecule 1(VCAM-1), and intercellular adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1) before and after treatment were observed in the two groups. Results:Before treatment, when compared levels of SCr, BUN and HbA1c between the two groups, there was no significance in the difference(P>0.05). The comparison of levels of SCr and BUN of the two groups before and after treatment and the comparison of HbA1c level in the control group before and after treatment showed no significance in differences(P>0.05). The level of HbA1c in the treatment group was decreased when compared with that before treatment(P<0.05),and the level in the treatment group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Before treatment,when compared levels of ACR, 24 h- UTP, VCAM- 1 and ICAM- 1 between the two groups, there was no significance in the difference(P>0.05). After treatment,levels of ACR,24 h-UTP,VCAM-1 and ICAM-1 in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the four levels in the treatment group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:In the treatment of type 2 DKD of kidney yin deficiency type,the therapy of Yishen tang combined with Cozzar can enhance curative effect,improve clinical symptoms,and reduce levels of 24 h- UTP,ACR,VCAM- 1,ICAM- 1 and HbA1c.
