Abstract： Objective： To explore the clinical effect and nursing effect of fresh motherwort capsules combined with oxytocin for preventing hemorrhage after abortion. Methods：A total of 160 cases of patients with hemorrhage after abortion were divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method，80 cases in each group. The control group was treated with oxytocin， and the observation group was treated with fresh motherwort capsules combined with oxytocin. Both groups were given nursing intervention. The curative effect， amount of bleeding， postoperative coagulation function indexes and adverse reactions in the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results：In the observation group， there was little amount of bleeding and no intrauterine residue， and the incidence of adverse reactions was better than that in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After intervention，there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of fibrinogen(FIB)， activated partial thromboplastin time(APTT) and prothrombin time(PT) between the two groups(P＞0.05). Based on the nursing intervention， the time of postoperative hemorrhage， abdominal pain and return of menses in the observation group was less than that in the control group； the endometrial thickness after 14- day treatment was significantly larger than that in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). Conclusion： Based on the nursing intervention， the therapy of fresh motherwort capsules combined with oxytocin can reduce the amount of hemorrhage after abortion，with little intrauterine residue and short bleeding time and without affecting the coagulation function of patients.
