Abstract: Objective: To observe the nursing effect of auricular point sticking combined with moxibustion at points for improving senile functional constipation. Methods:A total of 142 cases of senile patients with functional constipation were divided into the control group and the experiment group by rolling a dice, 71 cases in each group. The control group was intervened with Maren pills. The experiment group was intervened with auricular point sticking combined with moxibustion at points. The curative effect and clinical symptom scores were compared between the two groups. Results:The total effective rate was 74.65% in the control group, and 92.96% in the experiment group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After intervention, each symptom score in the two groups was decreased when compared with that before intervention, and the score in the experiment group was lower than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:The treatment of auricular point sticking combined with moxibustion at points has a extremely desirable clinical effect on the treatment of senile functional constipation, and constipation is significantly improved.
