Abstract:Objective:To observe the effect of thumbtack needle combined with epidural anesthesia on delivery pain and blood qi in umbilical artery and vein of neonates. Methods: A total of 77 cases of puerpera after normal delivery in the department of obstetrics and gynecology were selected and divided into the study group and the control group according to the random number table method,of which three cases were excluded. Finally,38 cases were included in the control group and 36 cases were included in the study group. The control group was given epidural anesthesia for labor analgesia, and the study group was additionally treated with thumbtack needle based on the treatment of the control group. Before delivery,at 30 minutes of delivery and after delivery, the scores of Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) in the two groups were compared. The indexes of blood qi in umbilical artery and vein of neonates were detected, including pH ratio, partial pressure of blood oxygen(PaO2), partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2) and buffuer excess(BE). Results: Before delivery, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of VAS score between the two groups(P > 0.05). At 30 minutes of delivery and after delivery, the VAS score in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). The levels of PaO2 and BE in umbilical arterial and venous blood of neonates in the study group were higher than those in the control group (P<0.05),and the level of PaCO2 was lower(P<0.05).There was no significant difference being found in the comparison of pH ratio in umbilical artery blood and venous blood between the two groups(P>0.05). Conclusion: The application of thumbtack needle combined with epidural anesthesia for labor analgesia has good analgesic effect on puerpera, and can significantly improve the indexes of blood qi in umbilical artery and vein of neonates.
