Abstract: Objective: To systematically evaluate the clinical effect of moxibustion for cystospasm after transurethral resection of prostate(TURP). Methods: Domestic and foreign databases were searched by computer; a randomized controlled trial(RCT) of moxibustion for cystospasm after TURP was included;quality risk evaluation and meta-analysis were performed by RevMan5.3. Results:A total of 9 RCTs and 644 cases of patients were included. The result of meta-analysis showed that when compared with routine treating in the control group, the additional application of moxibustion can improve the clinical effect on cystospasm after TURP[RR=1.21,95%CI(1.06,1.38),P<0.05],reduce the incidence of cystospasm [RR=0.55, 95%CI(0.42, 0.72), P<0.05], decrease the VAS score [MD=- 1.68, 95%CI(- 1.43, - 0.67), P<0.05], and significantly shorten bladder irrigation duration [MD=- 23.99, 95% CI(- 26.15, - 21.85), P<0.05] and average length of hospital stay[MD=- 1.27, 95%CI(- 1.68, - 0.87), P<0.05]. Conclusion: Moxibustion can effectively improve the clinical effect on cystospasm after TURP. But due to the limited number and quality of included studies, more high-quality studies are needed to confirm it.
