Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Reduning injection for children with acute upper respiratory tract infection. Methods:A total of 103 cases of children with acute upper respiratory tract infection were randomly divided into the control group and the study group,51 and 52 cases in each group respectively. The control group was given basic treatment, and the study group was additionally given Reduning injection based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for five days. After treatment, the clinical effect in the two groups was evaluated. Before and after treatment, the changes in Chinese medicine syndrome scores and levels of procalcitonin(PCT) and high- sensitivity C- reactive protein (hs- CRP) in serum in the two groups were observed and compared. Results:After treatment, the total effective rate was 98.08% in the study group and 88.24% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). After treatment, Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P< 0.05),and the score in the study group was lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). After treatment, the levels of PCT and hs-CRP in the two groups were decreased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.05),and the levels in the study group were lower than those in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusions:Reduning injection has definite curative effect in treating children with acute respiratory tract infection, which can significantly improve their clinical symptoms, and reduce the levels of PCT and hs-CRP in serum.
