Abstract:Objective:To observe the nursing effect of point injection at Zusanli point(ST36) combined with warmingneedle moxibustion on patients with postpartum urinary retention. Methods:A total of 86 cases of patients with postpartum urinary retention were selected and divided into two groups for study. All patients were given point injection at Zusanli point (ST36). Among all the patients,a total of 43 cases who additionally received warming-needle moxibustion were enrolled in the experiment group; the remaining patients who only received point injection were enrolled in the control group. The curative effect was compared between the two groups. Results: The total effective rate was 90.70% in the experiment group, and 79.07% in the control group, the difference being significant(χ2=5.271,P<0.05). The comparison of the time of first urination after intervention between the two groups showed significance in the difference(P<0.05). Before intervention, there was no significant difference being found in the comparison of residual urine volume after one-time urination between the two groups(P>0.05). After intervention, residual urine volume in the experiment group was less than that in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion:The therapy of point injection at Zusanli point(ST36) combined with warming- needle moxibustion can effectively improve clinical symptoms of patients with postpartum urinary retention, promote recovery of the bladder function, and reduce residual urine volume after one- time urination, with a significant clinical effect.
