Effect of Auricular Point Pressing with Beans and Point Application Combined with Conventional Medical and Nursing Measures on Cardiopulmonary Function in Patients with Acute Exacerbation of Chronic Cor Pulmonale
Abstract: Objective: To observe the clinical effect of the therapy of auricular point pressing with beans and point application combined with conventional medical measures on patients with acute exacerbation of chronic cor pulmonale (AECCP). Methods:A total of 90 AECCP patients were randomly divided into the observation group and the control group, 45 cases in each group. Both groups were treated with succinic metoprolol, spironolactone tablets, ceftriaxone sodium for injection and ambroxol hydrochloride oral solution, and were given comprehensive nursing measures. The observation group was additionally given auricular point pressing with beans and point application. The course of treatment in both groups was seven days. Before and seven days after treatment, echocardiography was performed to detect levels of partial arterial blood oxygen pressure(PaO2), partial carbon dioxide pressure(PaCO2), pulmonary artery pressure and left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF); the score of primary symptoms and the heart function grading of New York Heart Association(NYHA) were assessed;and the nursing satisfaction was evaluated by patient at discharge. Results:After seven days of treatment, the clinical effect in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05). Both PaO2 and LVEF levels in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment(P<0.01), and levels of PaCO2 and pulmonary artery pressure decreased(P<0.01). PaO2 and LVEF levels in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and levels of PaCO2 and pulmonary artery pressure were lower than those in the control group(P<0.01). The nursing satisfaction was better in the observation group than in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion:Based on conventional medical treatment and nursing in modern medicine, the therapy of auricular point pressing with beans and point application for AECCP patients, can better improve respiratory function, reduce pulmonary artery pressure, lessen clinical symptoms, and improve heart failure, clinical effect and nursing satisfaction.
