Abstract： The ancient and recent literature on the research and application of Quepen point(ST12) was searched to summarize its application and research progress from ancient to modern times， and discuss the characteristics and contraindications of its clinical application. Located at unique position and connected with multiple channels and channel qi， Quepen point has a wide range of application. During acupuncture，proper angles should be selected to avoid pneumothorax. Tuina can avoid pneumothorax and has good curative effect on some diseases. According to the effect of Quepen point， appropriate treatment methods should be selected to expand its clinical application.
