Abstract：Taking the consensus of the best blood pressure target for Diabetic Kidney Disease(DKD) patients in modern medical guidelines as the antihypertensive target， this paper explores the etiology， pathogenesis and syndrome typing of diabetes， diabetic nephropathy and hypertension in relevant guidelines of Chinese medicine. Based on clinical experience， this paper also puts forward the idea of syndrome typing in the early，middle and late stages of hypertension in DKD：The early stage：syndrome of liver fire flaming upward，syndrome of yin deficiency with yang hyperactivity；The middle stage： syndrome of internal obstruction of static blood， syndrome of internal obstruction of phlegm- damp； The late stage： syndrome of stirring of wind in kidney collateral，syndrome of spleen-kidney yang deficiency. This paper also summarizes the effect of increasing blood pressure of related Chinese herbs， so as to accurately treat hypertension in DKD based on syndrome differentiation.
