Clinical Study on Integrated Comprehensive Therapy Combined with Rehabilitation Training and Emotional Counseling for Spasticity of Lower Limbs After Stroke
Abstract:Objective:To observe the clinical effect of the integrated comprehensive therapy combined with rehabilitation training and emotional counseling on spasticity of lower limbs after stroke. Methods:A total of 82 patients with spasticity of lower limbs after stroke were randomly divided into the control group and the observation group,40 and 42 cases in each group respectively. After admission, both groups were given western medicine, rehabilitation training and emotional counseling for treatment. On this basis, the control group was additionally treated with Chinese herbal fumigation, and the observation group was additionally treated with Chinese herbal fumigation and moxibustion. Both groups were observed for four weeks. Before treatment and after four weeks of treatment, the Clinical Spasticity Index(CSI) was used to evaluate the degree of muscle spasm;Fugl-Meyer Assessment Scale was used to evaluate limb function;Barthel Index(BI) was used to evaluate activities of daily living, and Stroke Impact Scale(SIS) was used to evaluate the quality of life. The clinical effect in the two groups was compared. Results: After treatment, the total effective rate was 90.48% in the observation group and 72.50% in the control group, the difference being significant(P<0.05). The improvement of muscle spasm in the observation group was better than that in the control group(P<0.05). The scores of Fugl-Meyer and BI in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment;and the above two scores in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). The scores of movement ability, strength, memory and communication ability and emotion of SIS in the two groups were increased when compared with those before treatment, and the scores of the above four dimensions in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, differences being significant(P<0.05). Conclusion: The integrated comprehensive therapy combined with rehabilitation training and emotional counseling, has a satisfactory effect on spasticity of lower limbs after stroke, which helps to relieve the degree of muscle spasm, and improve the motor function of limbs, activities of daily living ability and the quality of life.
