Abstract：Objective：To observe the effect of Compound astragalus mixture nourishing heart(CAMNH) combined with routine western medicine on Chinese medicine syndrome scores and Seattle Angina Questionnaire(SAQ) scores in patients with coronary heart disease with unstable angina of qi deficiency with blood stasis type. Methods：A total of 52 cases of patients with coronary heart disease with unstable angina of qi deficiency with blood stasis type were selected and divided into the control group and the CAMNH group according to the random number table method，26 cases in each group. Both groups were given standard western medicine treatment，and the CAMNH group was additionally treated with CAMNH at the same time. After four weeks of treatment，Chinese medicine syndrome scores and SAQ scores in the two groups were compared. Results：In the end，26 cases in control group and 25 cases in the CAMNH group were included in the statistics. After treatment，Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment，the difference being significant(P＜0.01)；the score in the CAMNH group was lower than that in the control group，the difference being significant(P＜0.01). In the control group，the scores of physical activity limitation，stable state of angina pectoris， angina attacks and treatment satisfaction were all increased when compared with those before treatment，differences being significant(P＜0.01，P＜0.05)；the scores of disease awareness were slightly increased，but the difference showed no significance(P＞0.05). The scores in all dimensions in the CAMNH group were increased when compared with those before treatment，differences being significant (P＜0.01，P＜0.05). The comparison between the two groups showed that the improvement of scores in all dimensions in the CAMNH group was better than that in the control group， differences being significant(P＜0.01， P＜0.05). Conclusion： The application of Compound astragalus mixture nourishing heart for patients with coronary heart disease with unstable angina of qi deficiency with blood stasis type can improve their Chinese medicine syndrome scores，SAQ scores，clinical symptoms and quality of life.
