Abstract:Senile frailty syndrome is a group of clinical syndromes caused by degenerative changes of the body, and a variety of chronic diseases, and characterized by increased body vulnerability and decreased anti-stress capability. It belongs to the category of deficiency disease in Chinese medicine. Based on the literature study of Chinese medicine, the pathogenesis of senile frailty is characterized by deficiency of five viscera, especially the deficiency of the spleen and kidney, qi- fluid deficiency,yin- yang imbalance,deficiency- excess complex, and dynamic changes. The features of pathological changes are deficiency-excess complex and dynamic changes. The treatment of frailty syndrome should follow the principle of reinforcing the healthy qi and supplementing deficiency, eliminating the pathogenic factors, appropriate syndrome differentiation, and comprehensive management. The idea of treating disease before it arises should run through the treatment.
