Abstract：Objective：To observe the clinical effect of Mi-zi type cervical exercise combined with point massage for nerve root cervical spondylosis. Methods： A total of 94 cases of patients with nerve root cervical spondylosis were selected and divided into the control group and the observation group according to the random number table method， 47 cases in each group. The control group was given routine symptomatic treatment， and the observation group was additionally treated with Mi- zi type cervical exercise combined with point massage based on the treatment of the control group. Both groups were treated for four weeks. The Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) scores，Neck Disability Index(NDI) and Chinese medicine syndrome scores before and after treatment as well as the clinical effect in the two groups were compared. Results：The total effective rate was 91.49% in the observation group and 74.47% in the control group， the difference being significant(P＜0.05). After treatment， the VAS scores， NDI and Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the two groups were significantly decreased when compared with those before treatment(P＜0.05)； the decrease of VAS score， NDI and Chinese medicine syndrome scores in the observation group was more significant than that in the control group(P＜0.05). Conclusion： The therapy of Mi- zi type cervical exercise combined with point massage for nerve root cervical spondylosis can effectively relieve neck-shoulder pain in patients， and improve cervical function and the clinical effect.
